Concentric circles and intersecting lines inspired by artist Sonia DelaunayArtists used a variety of found objects or digital assest to create their works of art. Artist Sonia Delauney was a found of the Orphism art movement and often used circular forms and bold pops of color to create her abstract artwork. These projects show how students used concentric circles and intersecting lines to create artwork in the style of Sonia Delauney.
What is in a Name?We are off and running in Exploratory Art! Our first art project had students creating "Name Art" using a choice board to help guide their artistic expression. I am happy to say that I had at least one project from each category which proves the point that all artists think differently! I encourage my students to think outside of the box as well.

Creative Color Wheel
Artists use Color Theory to create their works of art. Color can convey emotion, set a mood and help tell the story within their artwork. Students created a Creative Color Wheel using a variety of materials, marker, colored pencil, digital art and found objects. These projects show the relationship between Primary (red, yellow and blue), Secondary (green, purple and orange) and Tertiary (red-orange, orange-yellow, yellow-green, green-blue, blue-purple, and red-purple).
